This tool was specially designed for marking hot steel.
Especially in steel mills or forges, workpieces or slabs must be marked while still hot. Temperatures up to 1000°C are possible with short contact times. The housings are extremely robustly constructed – the number wheels are made of 1.2379 HRC 60. This material combines several properties: The wheels are extremely hard – HRC 60 – and at the same time tough. In addition, it has the properties required for stamping hot steel.
The wheel width for letter heights of 6 mm and 8 mm is 6 mm. For letter heights of 10 mm, the wheel width is 8 mm.
Pure hot-work steel is also suitable, but the maximum final hardness is not very high. As a result, the achievable service life is rather short.
This numbering heads heads are always equipped with a support rod. This significantly improves handling and creates a safe distance from hot workpieces. The impact caps are replaceable.
Each numbering head is ultimately manufactured according to customer specifications. This means that the wheels can be customized not only with numbers, but also with punctuation marks or letters at no extra charge.
